At Essentially Empowered Inc., our Holistic Medicine Internship Program is a unique, immersive experience designed to cultivate the next generation of natural health leaders.
These interns, affectionately called “Healers,” are students and practitioners-in-training who study under the guidance of Dr. Lakeeta Watts and Dr. Shanice Baquet and other seasoned professionals.
Our interns gain hands-on experience in: Herbal medicine formulation Whole-food nutrition and dietary planning Iridology and traditional assessment tools Holistic counseling and energy work Doula care, maternal-child health, and trauma-informed support Apothecary management and healing garden cultivation They actively contribute to client education, community outreach, and wellness workshops, while learning the principles of functional, Ayurvedic, and natural medicine.
Each healer is on a journey to serve their community with compassion, cultural humility, and deep-rooted wisdom. Our internship is not just a training, it's a calling to reclaim ancestral healing traditions and promote health equity for all.
